Our Youth Program is a community based soccer initiative delivered in partnership with the African Canadian Association of Ottawa (ACAO), created to reduce barriers to organized sport and expand access for families who need it most. The program is offered at no cost to youth from low income households or families facing financial hardship, while families who are able are invited to make a modest program contribution to help sustain and grow the initiative.
Through structured training, mentorship, and a positive team environment, we support youth of all backgrounds and skill levels while fostering confidence, discipline, and belief both on and off the field.
Mama Africa FC is a community-driven, non-profit soccer initiative based in Ottawa that provides free access to sport, development, and opportunity for youth and adults regardless of financial background, skill level, or origin.
We support underprivileged and marginalized players, including youth, newcomers, and individuals facing financial barriers, by offering free training, competitive opportunities, and community programs.
Our programs include a free youth program, community training sessions, competitive team participation, and outreach initiatives that use soccer as a tool for inclusion, confidence, and personal growth.
Yes, The Mama Africa FC youth program is offered at no cost to youth from low income households, ensuring access for those who may otherwise face financial barriers. The program remains open to all participants, with a focus on inclusion, development, and community rather than exclusivity.
The Road to TST $1M is our campaign to take a community-built Canadian team to compete in The Soccer Tournament (TST) in the United States — a global, winner-take-all $1 million competition.
Competing in TST brings visibility, resources, and opportunity back to the community. It helps fund free programs, inspires youth, and shows what is possible when barriers to participation are removed.
Funds are used transparently to support program operations, Youth Program costs, player support, travel, logistics, and tournament participation, ensuring community access remains free and sustainable.
Mama Africa FC operates as a community-focused, non-profit initiative with responsible financial management, clear reporting, and regular updates shared with supporters and partners.
Supporters can get involved through donations, sponsorships, volunteering, partnerships, or community collaboration. Every contribution helps expand access and opportunity through sport.
Mama Africa FC is more than a team — it is a platform for inclusion, representation, and opportunity, using soccer to unite communities, uplift youth, and proudly represent Canada on national and international stages.
